THE PRISM
A Soul’s Story in Many Colors
A Metaphysical Novella

About the Book

Cael Nadir wakes from a dream carrying a name that is not his, a grief he cannot explain, and memories of a place he has never seen.

At first, the experiences are easy to dismiss. A strange word. A flash of another landscape. A feeling of recognition with no apparent source. But as the fragments accumulate, Cael begins to suspect that what he is experiencing may not be imagination at all. The memories feel too complete, the emotions too intimate, and the people who appear in them seem somehow aware of him in return.

Then the world around him begins to change.

Familiar streets no longer lead where he remembers. Places appear to have always existed that he knows were never there. People recall events from a life he does not remember living. What once seemed to be a mystery inside his mind begins to alter the boundaries of reality itself.

At the center of these experiences is the image of a prism: one beam of light passing through a single point and emerging as many colors. Cael gradually comes to wonder whether human identity might work in much the same way—whether the person we call “I” is only one expression of a larger consciousness, refracted into different lives, choices, relationships, and worlds.

When he discovers an experimental device capable of revealing what appear to be other versions of himself, the question changes. It is no longer whether these other lives are real. It becomes whether Cael can continue to think of himself as only one person.

The Prism is a metaphysical novella about identity, parallel lives, memory, consciousness, and the search for wholeness. It asks whether our unexplained longings, sudden recognitions, déjà vu, and dreams might sometimes be glimpses of something larger—and whether becoming whole requires eliminating our contradictions or learning to include them.

A Novel in Words. A Journey in Sound.

Museca also created an original musical companion to The Prism.

Where the novella explores Cael’s journey through language, memory, and shifting realities, the soundtrack approaches the same ideas through color, atmosphere, resonance, and sound. The music reflects the novel’s central metaphor: individual lives as separate colors emerging from a single source.
